Jason grew up in Irmo, SC.  He is a graduate of Dutch Fork High School where he played baseball.  During his senior year of high school Jason received a baseball scholarship to attend Winthrop University.  He played for five years under Joe Hudak and staff.  Jason was a member of the 2005 Big South Championship team. Jason is currently ranked 9^th in overall appearances in Winthrop baseball history.  After completing his baseball career at Winthrop, Jason signed with the Chicago Cubs organization to play in Mesa, AZ in 2005.  Jason played for one year in the Mesa Rookie League before coming home to finish his degree at Winthrop University.  Jason coached for two years at Lewisville High School and was an Asst. Coach for the Carolina Sox Collegiate wooden bat league.. He was selected to coach the 16U Team SC squad.  Jason is now at South Pointe High School where he is the Head Varsity coach.
